Ludovico Camarda

Ludovico Camarda (born 1966) studied at the University of Palermo from 1986 to 1993 where he earned a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering. From 1993 until 1998 he worked as self-employed engineer, and as assistant teacher at the University of Messina. During the same period, he authored 5 books on computerized algorithms in Civil Engineering.

From 1998 to 2000 Ludovico was engaged as senior consultant by EDS Group first, and by the European Space Agency after, working on the design and development of mission critical applications. In 2000 he joined ATG (Art Technology Group, Inc.), where he worked as senior consultant until 2003. ATG was later acquired by Oracle for $1B.

From 2003 Ludovico worked as senior consultant at Requisite Technology Inc, a partner of SAP, where he was in charge of major accounts in the Oil & Gas and Aerospace & Defence industries. In 2005 Requisite was acquired by Clickcommerce Inc. and he was offered a positon of project manager in Chicago. Click commerce was then acquired by ITW (Illinois Tool Works Inc.) and one year later sold to Merge Healthcare Inc. where Ludovico continued to work until 2010 as senior Project Manager.

In 2011 he accepted a position of CTO at Simeno Systems AG, a software company based Switzerland. At Simeno Ludovico covered the role of CTO and deputy CEO until 2014. During this 3 years period the company grew substantially and revenues increased 250%.

From 2014 Ludovico works as VP Business Development for OR Lasertechnologie GmbH where he is also responsible for the development of the ORLAS Suite, OR Laser proprietary CAD/CAM software.
